NJPW Announces Star is Departing From The Company

It was recently announced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that Michael Elgin has not re-signed with the company. After his current contract with the company expired this past March 31st, the two sides did talk but mutually decided to part ways.

Elgin first began appearing for NJPW in 2015 through the promotion’s partnership with ROH and was able to capture The IWGP Intercontinental, NEVER Openweight & NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

NJPW also recently announced that one of the company’s young lions since 2016, Teruaki Kanemitsu, has left the promotion. Kanemitsu sustained a cervical spine injury in November of 2016 and had been working his way to get back to action, but the two sides decided that  he just move on from NJPW.
