Marseille have made an offer for Gregoire Defrel

Ligue 1 side Marseille have submitted an offer for Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel, according to Gianluca di Marzio.

AS Roma however appear to lead the charge for the Frenchman, having had a proposal rejected: a 1.5 year loan deal with a purchase option worth between €15m and €18m.

Sassuolo’s President Squinzi values the player at around €22m, Defrel is interested by a move to AS Roma.

The report does not state what the player’s view is on a possible transfer to Marseille.
