Blaise Matuidi: “I wanted to leave.”

Speaking to Téléfoot, PSG central midfielder Blaise Matuidi confirmed yesterday that he wanted to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

“There was a concrete request, I wanted to complete a transfer, the club decided otherwise, you have to accept that. I went through a difficult period. My request was not heard. I am not unhappy at PSG, I am good. The manager believed in me, I think that was not insignificant in the club’s decision.”
