Both Lyon and Caen will be aiming to build on their opening weekend victories when the two teams clash at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Friday evening. The hosts currently sit atop of the Ligue 1 table on goal difference thanks to Alexandre Lacazette’s hat-trick in the 3-0 victory at Nancy. Manager Bruno Genesio will be hoping his team keep both their form and their star striker over the coming weeks.

Caen, meanwhile, secured a stunning late win over Lorient to kick off their campaign, coming from two goals down to win 3-2. Beating Lyon in their own backyard is a tough task, but Patrice Garande’s men should be full of confidence heading into this one.

In the corresponding fixture last season, Lyon emerged 4-1 winners.
