Updates From Day One of CM Punk vs WWE Doctor Amann Trial; Who Testified First?, Amann’s Behavior, More

As noted, the CM Punk vs WWE doctor Chris Amann trial officially began today, and PWInsider.com has obtained several notes from day one of the courtroom proceedings in Cook County, Illinois.

-Dr. Amann opened the trial today testifying on his own behalf. Amann was described as sounding “cold and curt” during his testimony, and he specifically mentioned the amount of negativity he has faced from the online world due to the public comments made by both CM Punk and Colt Cabana on Cabana’s 2014 podcast. At one point, it appeared as if Amann became emotional as retold his story.

-The jury was required to listen to the entire “Art of Wrestling” podcast in which Punk and Cabana’s comments were made.

-Amann will be cross-examined by Punk’s lawyers on Wednesday as the trial continues.
