Malang Sarr’s agent evokes potential AS Monaco departure
Malang Sarr (23), currently on loan at AS Monaco from Chelsea, could leave the Principality club, despite being only halfway through his contracted stay.
Sarr, who joined Chelsea from Monaco’s rivals, OGC Nice, arrived on loan at Monaco in the summer. The French centre-back arrived on a loan deal, which included an option to buy. However, in competition with Benoît Badiashile, Sarr has struggled for game time, appearing only six times in Ligue 1. Only three of those appearances have come from the start.
Consequently, the player’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has evoked the possibility of an early departure from the Principality side. In an interview with TMW, transcribed by Fabrizio Romano, Pastorello said, “He’s a bit disappointed as he left Chelsea to play more. Let’s see if they will let him leave in January. Torino wanted him last summer, and AC Milan have been tracking him for a long time.”

Should Sarr leave, it could free up room for Cercle Brugge’s Jesper Daland (22) to join the Principality side. As revealed by sources contacted by Get French Football News, the Norwegian centre-back is being lined up for a move to Monaco, having trained, and played, with the side during the club’s mid-season break. Whilst the inclination is for a summer move, he could move in January, and the departure of Sarr could increase the chances of a move.
