Falcao in Monaco for medical tests

The French football world went a little mental this morning when it emerged that Falcao had been spotted at Monaco, adding more weight to rumours claiming that the Colombian international would terminate his loan spell with Chelsea 6 months early.

Despite the fact that we have confirmed in recent weeks that Monaco Vice President Vadim Vasilyev has been in talks with Chelsea to that effect, the player remains resolute in his desire to see his loan spell with the London club out fully.

Falcao was in Monaco this morning simply for several medical checkups, something that he was always scheduled to do as part of the loan agreement, since he picked up a thigh injury recently.

An early return for Falcao remains a possibility, but Chelsea have yet to make a decision either way. Hiddink wants to see Falcao fully before he makes a decision and the Colombian international’s injury is preventing that from happening at the moment.
