Reports Suggest That Mumbai Is Most Lucrative City For Expats, With Average Annual Income Of $217,165

With development on a rapid rise in India, expatriates are looking for more opportunities and better salaries.

According to a survey conducted by HSBC Bank International Ltd, Mumbai, India’s financial, commercial and entertainment capital is on the top when it comes to global rankings for expat salaries.

Foreigners moving to the subcontinent’s most populous city reported average annual earnings of $217,165, which counts as more than double the global expat average of $99,903. Jakarta, Hong Kong and Shanghai are some other cities of Asia joining Mumbai in this league, reported Bloomberg.
